The writings of Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani cover a broad range of Islamic subjects. Readers may encounter his works while studying Qur’anic translation and explanation, Islamic jurisprudence, contemporary financial matters and Islamic economic principles.
For Qur’anic study, one important work is Aasan Tarjuma-e-Qur’an, prepared for Urdu readers who want to understand the meanings of the Holy Qur’an in accessible language.
Readers requiring more explanation can explore Aasan Tafseer-e-Qur’an, a multi-volume work offering more detailed discussion. Its seven-volume structure allows readers to purchase and study individual volumes as well as the complete collection, depending on the edition and availability.
For English-speaking readers, The Meanings of the Noble Qur’an with Explanatory Notes presents the original Arabic Qur’anic text together with English translation and explanatory notes. It is a single-volume publication and is particularly suitable for readers seeking an English Qur’an translation accompanied by concise explanation.
Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani has also written extensively on financial and economic matters. Islam Aur Jadeed Muashi Masail is an eight-volume Urdu collection dealing with trade, contemporary commercial transactions, Riba, financial dealings and broader Islamic economic questions.
This range of subjects demonstrates an important point when choosing Islamic books: readers should first identify what kind of study they require. Qur’an translation, Tafsir, Fiqh and Islamic economics represent different areas, even when the books are written by the same scholar.
A person beginning Qur’anic study may therefore start with a translation, later move to a Tafsir, and separately study specialized subjects such as Islamic commercial law or finance.
Maktaba Darul Uloom categorizes books according to author, publisher, language, format and subject so customers can more easily discover related books and continue their studies.
